At the young age of 5, in her father’s church is where it all began, touching everyone with the angelic sounds of her voice. She soon joined her five older siblings’ singing group, “The Wynn Sisters” where she learned the art of harmonizing.
While her love for music embodied her, she then began writing her own songs, ultimately, attracting the interest of music’s icon, Quincy Jones, for ‘Quincy Jones Music Publishing’. This was her first 2-year publishing deal.

She later signed on with Sony ATV Music Publishing for 4 years and after that
Abood Music Publishing out of London England.
Juanita Wynn has written for one of Motown’s legends, the incomparable ‘Diana Ross’,
writing her title cut “Every day is a New Day”.
She has also written for artists such as Grammy Nominee Gospel Artist Fred
Hammond
as a songwriter/ arranger and she did background vocals on nine of the
compositions.


Juanita has written for the soulful R&B songstress Angie Stone, and the most popular,
multi-platinum selling female R&B group Destiny’s Child, Verity gospel group Virtue,
Jazz musicians Ben Tankard, & Norman Brown, and R&B/Gospel artist Shirley
Murdock
, just to name a few. Juanita had the privilege of singing background on
Tyrese’s hit single, ‘Lately’. Her list of amazing talents is unremitting. Juanita prides
herself as a notable singer/songwriter professional.


Recently her song “Take Everything In”, written with and for Angie Stone was featured
on the second season of STARZ hit show “POWER”, and her newest musical
composition, entitled “This Is Your Life”, can be heard on Lalah Hathaway's Live
project. Juanita received a GRAMMY for the Lalah Live project.
Juanita’s journey has been in much anticipation of introducing to the world her
interpretations of love, joy, peace, and encouragement. She is now partnering with
others who feel the same urgency to inspire more love in the world and abolish hatred.


Juanita has been the special guest singer and/or speaker at several events for women
and children, and she was the guest speaker at the Coronado School for pregnant
teens, in Virginia Beach. She has sat on many panels for college students at Norfolk
State University, and the Boy's and girl's club, both times speaking to the youth about
the music, peer pressure, and the value of integrity. Juanita loves music, but she loves
music with a purpose even more so she uses it as a tool to touch the hearts and minds
of people from every generation, culture, and color.
